Our teachers
An impressive CV is a start.
We put ability to the test.
Your child deserves a teacher who knows the subject, understands the examination and can make difficult ideas clear. Our selection and training process is built around that standard.
The standards behind every appointment
A/A* in the subject they teach
Our teachers have achieved an A or A* at A-Level in their relevant teaching subject. They have experienced the standard we want our students to work towards.
Examined before interview
Every tutor applicant must complete our standardised examination before reaching the interview stage. We assess their current subject performance, rather than relying on a CV alone.
Thoroughly vetted
The examination is followed by an interview. We look for people who can explain their thinking and turn their knowledge into teaching a student can actually follow.
Rigorous training
Our tutors are trained on examiner comments, official guidance and mark schemes. We connect scientific understanding with the precise reasoning students need to demonstrate in their examinations.
University backgrounds
Ambitious people. A shared teaching standard.
Our teachers come from the likes of Oxford, Cambridge, UCL, Imperial, Warwick, Durham, Liverpool, City, St George's and King's College London. Every tutor still goes through our examination, interview and training process.

A personal note from Amman Damani
Why I introduced an exam before the interview
“I had interviewed people who looked excellent on paper, then found myself scratching my head when their performance did not match their CV. I realised I needed to select for the outcome our students actually needed.”
